How do I scan something and send it via email?

Answer

Scanning

Long Way (From books, fragile papers, irregular sizes, etc.)

  1. Hit the ‘Scanner’ button on the copier.

  1. Enter your email address.

  1. Lift the head of the copier and place the first page (if scanning multiple pages) face down (close the head, if possible).

  1. Hit ‘Scan.’ If scanning multiple pages, proceed. If you’re only scanning one side of one page, go to step 7.

  1. Remove the first page, and either flip the page over to scan the backside or replace it with the next page.

  1. Hit ‘Scan.’ Repeat steps 5-6 as necessary to complete your document.

  1. Hit ‘Finish Scan’ at the top of the menu. You should receive an email with the scanned document in the next 5-10 minutes!

Quick Way (From unstapled A7/standard sized paper in good shape with no snags/rips/tears)

  1. Enter your email address.

  1. Place your loose pages face up and in order in the tray in the head of the printer. Make sure there is nothing in the scanner and that the head of the printer is down.

  1. Hit ‘Scan.’

  1. Hit ‘Finish Scan’ at the top of the menu. You should receive an email with the scanned document in the next 5-10 minutes!
