Why did I receive an error signing-in to MyEBSCO?

I used a link to an article/database found in my Blackboard Course, and when I tried to login to "MyEBSCO" I received an error. What is the issue?

Answer

If you are receiving an "Unexpected System Error" when trying to login to your MyEBSCO account, it is likely the article/database you are accessing is using an older URL or permalink:

Image of the "Unexpected System Error". Message mentions to contact your administrator for assistance.

This error has no affect on you searching, accessing, downloading, or printing articles. You just won't be able to login to your MyEBSCO account to save them.

To get back to an article/database from the error, just click the back button in your browser.

If you received this error, but would like to save an article from your Blackboard course to your MyEBSCO account: go to OneSearch, login to MyEBSCO, search for the article by title, then click the “Save” icon to save it to your MyEBSCO Dashboard.

If you are receiving any other type of error, please fill out the Ask the Gladhill Learning Commons form with a screenshot of the error (if possible).
