I can't view the comments on the paper I submitted to the Tutoring and Writing Center for review. What do I do?
Answer
Microsoft Word docs:
If you can't view the comments on a Microsoft Word document, go to the "Review" tab in Microsoft Word and click "Show Comments".
PDFs
If you can't see the comments or the comments are cutoff on the PDF, you have several options:
1) The Chrome browser is not ideal to view PDF comments. If you have the Firefox or Edge browsers on your computer, you can right click on the file and choose "open with" and then Firefox or Edge. You can also download Adobe's free PDF reader: https://get.adobe.com/reader/ to view any PDF.
2) If you are a Dual Enrollment student using an FCPS Chromebook, you can add the Kami extension to your browser to view the PDF:
Step 1: In the web browser type in Chrome Extensions
Step 2: Click on the Chrome Web Store link
Step 3: At the search bar at the top labeled "Search extensions and themes" type in Kami
Step 4: Click on the Kami for Google Chrome link that shows up in the results
Step 5: Hit the Add to Chrome button on the right
Step 6: Allow the popup "Add Extension to Chrome"
Step 7: Click on the puzzle piece next to the search bar at the top of the browser and find the Kami extension in the drop down menu
Step 8: (Optional) You can hit the thumbtack button next to the Kami extension to pin the extension to your search bar, but you can also always find it under the puzzle piece.
Step 9: Click on the Kami extension
Step 10: Hit Continue with Google and log in with your school account
Step 11: On any PDF you download, you can now hit the Kami extension and open it so you can edit and download it or access pre-existing PDF's you wish to edit from your drive or computer if you had saved them previously.
