Q. How do I fix the database link I put into my Blackboard course?
The database link I put into my Blackboard course is not working. What do I do?
How Database Authentication Works
The authentication process that enables access to FCC library databases is moderated through a proxy server. For the process to work, you must access library databases through the links on the library's A - Z Databases page (rather than through a link found by searching for the database's name in Google). You can also link directly to a specific item in a database (such as an article) by using that item's permalink.
How to Get the Correct Database URL from the A - Z Databases Page
- Go to the A - Z Databases pages at https://guides.frederick.edu/az.php
- Find the name of the database you want, then right-click on the database name
- Click "Copy link address" in the dialog box
- Paste the copied link where you want it to go in Bb and save your changes!
